My greatest gifts

I have been given the best gifts ever. As a child that may have been a new bike or a desk to play teacher (one of my fondest memories!). As a teen it could have been the latest cassette tape (I’m showing my age) or a cute outfit. In early adulthood it probably meant some piece of jewelry or a book by my favorite author. Today, it means my children. The most perfectly wonderful boys in the world (at least my world!). I am so grateful for the two amazing gifts God has blessed me with. I am so happy to be a mommy. I am even more happy to be Cody and Eli’s mommy. No gift will ever compare. So tonight, when we celebrate Jesus’ birth, I thank God for the best gifts I’ve ever been given.

Silent night! Holy night!
All is calm all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace!
Sleep in heavenly peace!

Silent night! Holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Hallelujah
Christ the Saviour is born!
Christ the Saviour is born!

Silent night! Holy night!
Son of God love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord at thy birth,
Jesus, Lord at thy birth.
